Time To Lose This Weight

I have now started a new weight loss program with the new company I am with.  It is a shake I take for 1 meal per day.  The shake tastes wonderful, tastes like vanilla.  I have been on the shake for 5 days and have lost 5 pounds.
With having gotten rid of the inflammation in my joints and no longer on pain medication or arthritis medication, it is time for the next step.  To lose weight!
Now that there is no pain I am able to be more mobile and able to do more activities.  With the shake and more activity, the weight will disappear.
This fabulous creamy vanilla shake contains less than 80 calories per serving.  With each shake brings me closer to the hard body I am sculpting,  fiber that makes you feel full and prevents you from flipping into binge mode.   The protein in the shake fuels lean muscle growth, which is good for your metabolism and the vitamins energize your motor to sustain you weight management focus and discipline.
I am so excited to be on this new program.

Moving Forward

Isn’t it funny how life throws you curves?  You get onto something that makes such a significant difference in your health and all of a sudden it is not available anymore.
Life throws us many curves, you can sit and dwell in them or go out and make a change.   That is what I did.  I made the change.
It is very important to me to get off my diabetes meds.  I just had a great results from my last tests.  My sugars and cholesterol are good and I am down 5lbs.  So I am going in the right direction.
I have found a company that has just launched in Canada.  They have high quality, natural health products that start at the cellular level to keep you healthy, a great weightloss program, beauty products that are healthy, home products that are green and they are international so shipping will be much easier.  There is also an anti -aging and reverse-aging product that repairs your DNA coming soon.  I now have a product that will take the place of what I have lost.
This company is debt free, cannot be traded, has its own manufacturing building, does manufacturing for other companies, the CEO is the head scientist, who creates these great natural products, is in 30 countries and has a great compensation plan.  What more could one ask for.
Here’s to your Health, Wellness and Wealth!

Arthritis: Forgotten Disease That Costs Canada Billions A Year

Arthritis forgotten disease that costs Canada billions a year, report suggests

...TORONTO - Arthritis has been called the invisible disease, but there's nothing imperceptible about its painful impact on patients' lives or the economic fallout for Canadian society.
A new report by the Arthritis Alliance of Canada says more than 4.6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis. And it calculates that the two major forms of the joint-destroying disease cost the Canadian economy a staggering $33 billion last year in health-care expenditures and lost productivity.
The report, entitled The Impact of Arthritis in Canada: Today and Over the Next 30 Years, predicts that figure could rise exponentially in the coming decades as a higher percentage of Canada's aging population is afflicted by the disease.
"I think people will be surprised by this, yes," Dr. Dianne Mosher said of the $33-billion price tag. "But if you look at the sheer number of people who have osteoarthritis — there's 4.4 million Canadians with osteoarthritis and in the next 30 years there will be 10 million — it's a significant portion of the population."

Mosher, a Calgary rheumatologist who co-authored the report, said the pain of both osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis can lead to a loss of mobility and an inability to perform everyday tasks most people take for granted.

"Certainly some of it is because the joints are affected that they would have difficulties walking, they'd have difficulties standing," she said, adding that chronic pain can disturb sleep and lead to fatigue and depression.
Yet despite the millions of people suffering and the economic repercussions, arthritis in all its myriad forms gets little attention compared with diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disease.

That may be in part because those diseases are life-threatening, while arthritis for the most part threatens patients' quality of life.

"In our specialty, our patients don't die," said Dr. Claire Bombardier, director of the rheumatology division at the University of Toronto, who also co-authored the report.

"Our patients live in pain and often in silent pain, invisible pain, and it becomes obvious when they break down. They have to stop working or their husbands leave them. There are all sorts of impacts on life: people have to move house (because) they aren't able to go up and down stairs, they're not able to go to the toilet, they need other people to help them."

Anne Fouillard, 60, lost seven years of her career as an international development consultant because of osteoarthritis, which began in her knees when she was about 30, then moved into her hips and back.

"At the worst, you're completely incapacitated," she said from her home in Kingsburg, N.S. Pain and stiffness in her joints and extreme fatigue forced her into a wheelchair for two years before she had both hips replaced at age 51, followed by spine-fusion surgery four years ago.

Being unable to work left her feeling "invalidated" and she figures the lost years cost the equivalent of half a million dollars.

"That's what it cost me and what it cost the state by not having me as a fully functional human being," said Fouillard, explaining that being unable to work meant she wasn't contributing taxes to government coffers.

Mosher said the Arthritis Alliance is working on a strategy to prevent the condition and improve treatment, especially for osteoarthritis, which affects joints such as knees and hips by distorting the bones and inflaming surrounding tissues.
"We don't have the magic bullet or the magic pill for the pain," she said, adding that more effective medications need to be developed. But a combination of muscle-strengthening exercises and physical activity can help control the symptoms.

"Joint replacement surgery makes a huge difference for people who have hips and knees replaced ... in returning their lives towards normal," Mosher added.
On the prevention side, the report says a strategy is needed to reduce high obesity rates in Canada, as carrying too many pounds can lead to arthritis in weight-bearing joints like the knees.

Rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in joints throughout the body, afflicts almost 275,000 Canadians of all ages, from young children through to the elderly. More than half of new cases occur in people aged 40 to 70.
While there are highly effective drugs available for the condition, Mosher said more needs to be done to get patients properly diagnosed and started on treatment early.

"If we see patients early and we treat them with what are called disease-modifying drugs, we can change the outcome," said Mosher. "In many people, we can control the disease and in some even put them into remission."

She said the report, released Thursday at a scientific conference in Quebec City, calculates that implementing the following four interventions could save the health-care system and the economy billions of dollars over the next three decades:

— Enhanced access to joint replacement for people with osteoarthritis; savings of $17 billion.

— Weight-reduction programs for obese Canadians to prevent 200,000 cases of osteoarthritis; savings of $212 billion.

— Improved pain management for people with osteoarthritis; savings of $488 billion.

— Earlier diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis; savings of $39 billion.

The alliance is calling on government policy-makers, the corporate sector and the insurance industry to join advocacy groups in creating a national strategy to reduce the burden of arthritis on Canadians.

The first step, said Mosher, is to change society's view of arthritis as something that people just have to live with.

"I think we've got to take the smile out of arthritis," agreed Fouillard, saying she is tired of people with arthritis being told "if you just keep moving, everything's going to be OK.'

"I think it's time to get serious and to treat it like the debilitating disease that it is."

What A Learning Mistake

I had been doing so well on my personalized supplement.  My arthritic pain had gone away after one month, my cramping in my hands and legs was gone after two months, I didn't have the cravings I had had for sweets, my weight was coming off and I was feeling Awesome.

I had put my monthly order in, I guess not thinking really as I did it, and went on my marry way thinking all was good.  When my order came, I found out not all was good as I did not have my personalized supplement.   I had not ordered it.  Great!

For the next couple of weeks I was ok but the days were starting to show a little bit of arthritic pain in my feet, then in my hands, then in my hips.  OUCH!

Within another week my hands started to cramp when I would go to write or eat.  All I could think about was how I should have been watching what I was doing when I placed my order.

The month could not go fast enough.  I wanted so bad to get rid of this arthritic pain and cramping and the cravings had come back as well to complicate things more.

When I was working my feet would cry in pain and my hips would feel like they were going to give out.  My hips would not let me sleep at night.  They kept telling me to get off them.

When it came time to order my new shipment, I made real certain that my personalized supplements were on there before I sent in the order.

I was so happy to finally receive my personalized supplements and get back onto my routine.  Things are getting much better.  Not back to 100% but they are getting there.

My hands, feet and hip pain are starting to get less again.  I am able to sleep much better because my hips are not yelling at me to get off of them.

My cramping is gone again and the cravings are going as well.

It is so wonderful to be back on my way to being totally Pain Free again, having No Cramping and No Cravings and just to feel Awesome once again.

It was a lesson well learnt about living in the NOW.

Do You Suffer With Psoriatic Arthritis?

About 20 years ago I broke out with a red, scaly blotch on both knees.  It was itchy and spread to cover the total knee.  I went to the Dr. and found out it was psoriasis.

After about a year I got another small spot on my left shin, which it to spread to cover the front of my shin and up to meet where the psoriasis was on my knee.  I was a mess!

After about another 6 months I had it on both elbows and the back of my head.  Soon it was on the top of my forehead and behind my ears.  It was so itchy, sore, embarrassing, because of the snow falling from my head, and just diving me crazy.

The Dr. gave me an ointment to use but I found my best results were sitting with my legs in the sun.  I tried several different things for years and got rid of most of the psoriasis except a bit on my elbows and my scalp.

About 6 yr. ago I started to have a lot of problems with my ankles, knees, hips, fingers, wrists, and elbows really having a lot of pain.  The Dr. put me on medication and told me I had arthritis.

For years I have encountered many times of excruciating pain, on and off.  I changed my diet, and it would help, then I would fall off the diet and hurt more.  I was on and off medication, and working at getting healthy.

Six months ago I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis.  My blood counts for inflammation had sored so high that they told me I had to go on some heavy meds and said they were sending me to see a Rhumatologist.

I still have not seen the Rhumatologist as of this blog post.

Three months ago I sent my urine for a Test to see what supplements and minerals my body has been lacking.  Upon getting the results of that test, I was given a personal supplement of what my body needs based on the findings of this test.

For 2 months now I have had NO pain!!!

Every year we go to Restoule and climb up to the fire tower.  This is a steep climb through the bush, over tree roots, fallen trees and rocks.  About the last 10 minutes of the walk it is climbing up the rocks.  For the past 5 years when I have been doing this hike, I have suffered tremendously with pain, during and after.  I have had to be very careful that when I take steps that my hips, knees, hands or elbows don't give out on me and make me fall.  Once back at camp after the walk I would suffer for about 2 days.  Finally about a year ago I quit walking because of the pain and about 8 months ago I quit doing exercises because of the pain.

This summer when we went on the hike to the top, I had no pain.  I was up and down like a young kid, feeling absolutely awesome!  I never suffered any pain at all.

I am back walking now and feeling great, Thanks to the wonderful supplements that I am taking to get my body back to where it should be.
